How to Play Open Sea For Animals

Quick start

1. Redeem the code Release in the Shop for a free Bat animal and place it in your base.
2. Train with your starter dumbbell until you can afford the next one.
3. Upgrade Speed in the Upgrades menu before your first long run.
4. Split the sea with your staff and grab the best egg you can reach.
5. Run back before the waves close and place the egg in your base to hatch it.
6. Spend your cash on a better dumbbell, a better staff and more Speed, then go again.
7. Rebirth as soon as you can afford it.

How do you open the sea farther?

Two things decide how far the sea splits: your strength and your staff. Strength comes from training with a dumbbell. Better dumbbells train faster, and the list is long, from a wooden dumbbell through gear, donut, rocket, burger and gold ones, all the way up to a plane. Staffs come from the Staff Shop, from early ones like Heaven and Star to the Galaxy Wand, Void Staff and Golden Spatula.

Upgrading only one of them doesn't get you far. When the sea stops opening wider, check which of the two is behind and upgrade that one. Later on, the strength multiplier upgrade (2x, 4x, up to 32x) makes training much faster and is worth buying early.

How do you escape the waves and bosses?

As soon as you split the sea, the walls of water start closing behind you. If they catch you, the run is over and you lose what you're carrying.

• Speed is the most important upgrade for surviving. The farther you open the sea, the faster you need to be to get back.
• Carry lets you bring back more eggs per run, up to 3 at once.
• Bosses chase you through the sea. A T-Rex guards the early zones, then a gorilla, a mammoth and a yeti. The Polar Bear waits in the final zone.
• Jump over small gaps instead of running around them. It saves a second when the waves are close.

A trick that works well: run straight to the far end first, grab the best eggs there, then duck into the side zone, which resets the area. You skip the chase back past everything you already passed.

How do eggs and hatching work?

The sea is split into zones, and each zone holds a different rarity of egg. The farther the zone, the rarer the egg:

Common → Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythic → Divine → Secret → Cosmic → Eternal

The farthest zones also show luck multipliers such as 12.5x and 15x, which improve your chances of rare results.

Placed eggs hatch on a timer. Early eggs take about 15 to 40 seconds, while the best ones take around 7 minutes. Hatched animals can roll a trait: Diamond, Rainbow, Gold and Radioactive animals earn much more than normal ones, so a Gold version of a mid-tier animal can beat a normal rare one.

How do you earn cash faster?

• Keep your best animals placed. Your base has a limited number of animal slots, and every animal in a slot earns cash per second, even while you're offline.
• Replace weak animals. When your slots are full, swap your lowest earners for new hatches.
• Rebirth often. Rebirth only costs cash and doubles your cash multiplier each time (8x, 16x, 32x and so on).
• Upgrade your base for more room as you progress.
• Game passes: x2 Cash Gains (75 Robux) doubles all income, VIP (85 Robux) gives x1.5 cash plus a slot, and the +2 and +4 Pet Slot passes add room for more animals.

Tips

• Don't overreach. Going one zone too far and getting caught wastes more time than a safe run.
• Check the next zone's requirement. If you're just short, a few minutes of training is faster than repeated failed runs.
• Hatch while you train. Eggs keep hatching and animals keep earning while you're at the dumbbell.
• Restart training when you get kicked. The game won't let you AFK train forever.
• Rebirth before a big upgrade push. The higher multiplier pays for the next dumbbell and staff faster.
